To measure or not to measure?

Rev 11:1

One would do well to do self inventory, to ask the question- what is the standard in this life. If you are like me I did not believe in scales, partly due to the fact that I felt as though it would tell me the truth. The scale would indicate the inevitable fact that I needed to seriously set a plan in motion to trim down.

Although I once tasted of a seriously fit life; through poor habits, lack of time management and boundaries I saw my 6 pack turn into a keg. If you get where I’m going with this… One must measure his or herself based upon the propositional word, and the Word himself.

The word is the measuring stick, scale, or rod to ultimate standard in this life. It gets deeper, the bible says that it was given him, a measuring Rod to measure the temple, its size and the worshippers who worship in the temple Revelation 11:1. We must be counted among those whom are the standard- based upon truth.

Anybody can make it from day to day, without any recourse but it takes the believer in Jesus Christ the Messiah to measure his or herself, then to walk out the standard. We are living epistles read and seen of all men. I’m working on my physical so that I may be more effective as a standard for Christ.

In my summation on this whole thought, I beat my body into subjection so that I may walk in truth; Mind, will, and emotions. What about you?
