Pressing your way

It is easy to give up, I have found that to be true. The hardest thing to do in life is to keep going when everyone and everything around you are faltering and failing. There is a song that I learned growing up, that states -I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus no turning back, no turning back.

If it was easy serving God- everyone would do it. Just think of it like this, we travel to our jobs and work on our jobs every day and we don’t complain; why do we complain when it comes to attending church, praying, fasting, and loving our neighbor? It’s all disciplines that need to be mastered. Of course, nobody has mastered God and the discipline of attending church and being a Christian, but we can be accountable to the process.

The next time that hardship comes- and it will, what will we do? Will we give up or will we press our way? No going back, no going back!

In Christ,

Pastor Vondell Scott
