To endure..

What does it mean to endure, in life? Some may say to accomplish many significant feats on the job, some may say to be a hero in my community, some may say to be a exemplary student, or a model man or woman to your loved ones. Whatever the case, those are just things that one does well, not nearly how well one endures in life. To be honest, one could be successful at all these scenarios and be a failure at enduring hardship. Life has many different plots if you will, twists and turns and one day if not now, one will be faced with hardship. Peter one of the greatest Apostles in the Bible, went through many tough times in life and ministry. He knew the Lord, and even saw the Lord after he rose from the dead. He admonished his audience to endure hardship, in Christ, not just in common life situations.. Everybody has different gifts that make them unique and good at what is defined as life, but when it comes to enduring persecution, abstaining from sin, loving ones neighbor beyond one’s comfort zone, that is when enduring hardship as a good soldier comes into play. So when life throws a curve ball or when it simply gets too hard to endure, endure, hardship as a good soldier.
