We live in a world of negotiate, haggle, and barter. It seems like the right thing to do to get the best deal possible, for what one is trying to attain. But, is this always the right thing to do?
In my view, in Christ, there is really no wiggle room for negotiations. Yes, it is not about do this, do that, do not this, do not do that Colossians 2:21; Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty 2nd Corinthians 3:17. Furthermore, Christ died to give is the abundant life John 10:10.
In all of this there is still non- negotiables.. For instance The creator’s word says to love your neighbor, but if one does not follows this commandment or instruction, then that is when murders and other chaotic situations arise. It is not mandatory to like everything a neighbor does, but it is imperative to speak the truth in love.
This is just one example but there are many instructions that The Lord God gives us, that are not negotiable. And just to be clear this is not to condemn, but it is to edify, and to exhort to keep the proper structure and safety in and over our lives.
In conclusion, if there is a time to negotiate and or compromise, use wisdom, never deviate from the basic principles of the Lords instruction. As long as the earth remain there will be seed-time and harvest, so better believe that whatever choices that are made will produce a harvest. And the wise will always want to reap blessings. Can I get an amen!
Blessings,
