The God of comfort…

John 14:1-3,12,23,24

Let me give you some good news today, Yeshua(Jesus Christ) is not trying to take away our faith, but he is trying to cultivate the faith that is within us and add to it. In John 14… we see Yeshua comforting his disciples. After doing miracles in front of them, after forgiving an Adulterous woman, after explaining what it means to be born again and about provision, he has to renew the disciples faith and their trust in Him. The disciples walked with Yeshua three years and they still needed work, what’s that to say about us? Are we around Jesus for a long time or are we walking with him a long time? because we can tell and people can also tell if we are authentic in our belief. It’s a crying shame how many have started out with Yeshua, and God did great things for them at first, he answered their every prayer he spoke to them by his word, but when he tried to grow them up by taking them through one of his promised trials or tribulations they lost their faith, In Him. When I say lost their faith I don’t mean “Oh my God I don’t know what to do” But ” Jesus I don’t believe in you anymore” type of stuff. I’ve found that when people don’t believe in eternal things and set their minds on the eternal things they tend to drift away from strong faith, that’s why the bible tells us to set our affections on things above not things below or on the earth, because things on the earth can be taken away from us.Jesus said I’m going to prepare a place for you and in my fathers house are many rooms or mansions and at the consummation of all things heaven will be on earth and it’s name will be the “Great city” and there will be many people who have so called washed their robes and got it right with Yahweh and Yeshua. So, in this life it’s worth straining toward the mark of the prize of the high calling, because our reward’s are not here but in Heaven. The God of Comfort.

In Christ, Pastor Vondell
