The dangers of Lust

Matthew 5:27

The misconception that many people have today about Lust is that they think that lust is ONLY “Sexual in nature”. But, the problem with that is, Lust is many things. Lust can be lust for power, it can be lust for success, it can be lust for something that simply is off limits! The Websters dictionary definition defines it as having an intense desire or need; Now we know that those who possess the Holy Spirit have been given a weapon to war against the flesh, He said that he gives us power over temptation 1st Cor 10:13. In Conclusion, Jesus gave us the answer in defeating lust in 1st John 2:15-17; he said that if we would do the will of the Father, we would overcome the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
