Matthew 7:24-27
It’s no wonder that Jesus begins in Matthew 13, talking about the Narrow way VS the broad way in life… See, in the world we live in today, there are many beliefs, but there is only one set of Christian essential beliefs. God created everything we see and don’t see, Jesus was born of a Virgin Jesus died for our sins, Jesus is the head of the Body of Christ, Jesus was also before anything and everything and by him all things hold together and consist. The problem comes into play when we start adding things to Christianity that is essentially not part of Christianity. For instance, If someone said that we’ve always had Sunday dinner, and If you don’t have “Sunday dinner” like us, you’re not a Christian; sounds absurd, yes because it is! We shouldn’t add or take away anything away from the bible, because the book of Revelation promises plagues to those who do such a thing. I think what CS Lewis the great Author and Theologian said is still profound and relevant for today; “for eternity, the door to Hell is going to be locked from the inside.” Lets not make our own assumptions, lets stick to the Book!
