Is submission that bad?

Eph 5:22,23
The worst thing that the Duchess could’ve done to Prince William was exempting the vow of submission out of their wedding vows. It’s hard enough to get a man and a woman to submit to one another, even with the vows included. The definition of Submission is the condition of being submissive, humble, or compliant. Submission is not just so that the husband can rule with an iron fist, but it’s so that there can be order in the house. That is why it’s important that the Man and Woman who wants to be married must set the ground rules that they want for their marriage covenant, that means finances, children, jobs, and material possessions etc…I know that we have an adversary who hates biblical marriage, and would desire that every marriage fail from the start but if we would submit ultimately to the Word of God for our lives individually and as a union we would not give the devil any fuel for the fire. Ephesians 5:23 gives us an outline of order to keep our sanity in every area of our lives so you don’t have to look to the Worlds system to get answers. If the Man and woman loves each other selflessly no matter where they are at in their marriage God can do great things, but it takes a life style of dying to yourself. Someone once told me there are three rings that you have to wear in the marriage process the engagement ring, the wedding ring, and suffer-ring. Enjoy, Blessings.
In Christ, Pastor Vondell
