Psalm 42

This psalm is a song from the sons of Korah. The Korahites were a people who descended from korah himself, remember him? The man along with his rebellious buddies who were in the camp of moses, who was swallowed up by the ground due to their rebellion. It’s kind of funny when we are reproved by going through a hard time how adamant or serious we get about God. They begin the psalm or song with “As the deer pants for the streams of water so pants my soul hard after thee.” they were on a mission to see God rise up in their situation like they saw him before. Those of us who are going through anything trying right now can relate to that. They went on to say that they were being taunted by their enemies because of Gods delay, in coming to change their situation. We all have enemies (problems) tangible or non tangible that try to taunt or tease us, but I for one will not give those enemies(Problems) any play in my life, because as the psalmists said We shall hope in God who is my salvation(My deliverer) and my God! Blessings.

In Christ, Pastor Vondell
