John 15:18
Christ doesn’t want us surprised because the world(worldly people) ostracizes us by treating us indifferent. He tells us in John 15, that he is the vine and we are the branches and he who abides in him bears much fruit on their branch; and the world does not take a liking to that unless they want a change. I know that you have some people who would make the anti-christian quote that says “you’re so heavenly minded that you’re no earthly good”, but that’s just a ploy to distract you from standing for the right things. The bible says, do not use your liberty as a cloak of maliciousness, so are we to parade around cussing people? backbiting? sleeping with mate? Unequivocally NO! We’re not of this world. By the way, the author of that statement you’re so heavenly minded you’re no earthly good was not a christian statement, but it was said by a Greek philosopher and astronomer’s girlfriend. As he was looking at the stars he kicked over a bucket and she made that statement about Pindar. Psalm 83 1. O, God do not remain quiet; do not be silent and, O God do not be still. 2. For behold , your enemies make an uproar, and those who hate you exalted themselves. 3. They make shrewd plans against your treasured ones, they have said, “Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation. The world hates Gods chosen ones, no matter how they try to mask it up. Does it mean that we go around defeated, NO! We are children of light and light radiates and causes other things large or small to gravitate to it once it comes on. God is Love!
